Silver Diamine
Sometimes restoring a tooth isn’t possible. Silver diamine fluoride (SDF) is a compound that helps halt tooth decay in patients who are unable to accept dental treatment. SDF is applied quickly and painlessly without the use of anesthetic or drills. After the teeth are cleaned and dried, Dr. Jarvis applies it to the affected teeth. Because SDF is painless and quick, it can be a nice alternative for young, elderly, or special-needs patients.
