Good habits make such a difference and will save a family thousands of dollars! Habits like brushing, flossing, and reducing sugar exposures seem so simple, but these habits make ALL the difference! Sugar is the trickiest habit to watch, because it’s in so much of what we eat and drink. It’s okay to have a sweet treat, but when that sweet treat is consumed over several hours, the teeth are constantly coated in sugar. This constant exposure is the main reason cavities begin to form. Sugar also “fuels the fire” on existing decay. Hydrating with water and drinking water after sugary treats can really help.
