It’s okay to have a sweet treat, but when that sweet treat is consumed over several hours, the teeth are constantly coated in sugar. This constant exposure is the main reason cavities begin to form. Sugar also “fuels the fire” on existing decay. Hydrating with water and drinking water after sugary treats can really help.
